Students from the Institute for Art & Culture (IAC) embarked on a captivating journey
through time as they explored the historic Lahore Fort and Cathedral Church of
Resurrection. Led by passionate faculty members, the excursion offered a unique
opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the rich cultural tapestry of Lahore.
Amidst the majestic walls and intricately designed architecture, students delved into the
stories of emperors and dynasties that have left an indelible mark on the fort's sprawling
grounds. From the iconic Sheesh Mahal to the imposing Gothic arches, each
architectural marvel served as a testament to the city's vibrant history and artistic legacy.
Aga Khan Development Network’s (AKDN) guided tours and interactive sessions
provided invaluable insights into the significance of Lahore Fort’s intricate Fresco Walls
and Tile-Production workshops. Ar. Sibgha Tahir (Project Architect Picture Wall and Seh
Dara), Ar. Sania Ahmed (Project Architect Mughal Hydrology), Ms. Moeeza Asad
