BIOGRAPHY

Prof. Dr. Shahida Manzoor, earned Ph.D. in Comparative Arts from Ohio University, USA.She completed her (M.F.A) – (Gold Medalist) from University of the Punjab, Lahore. She is the first Pakistani Women to receive Ph.D. from USA in Arts. She started her career as a lecturer at Punjab University teaching graduate and post graduate students in 1989, having
more than 42 years of experience both in Public and Private sector universities & 4 years teaching experience at Ohio University, USA. Besides her teaching experience she is also selected as HEC approved Supervisor for Ph.D. Scholars regarding this, she supervised 9 Ph.D. Research Thesis. She has won more than a dozen scholarships and awards, both at national and international level. Selected as member of Syndicate, Academic Council, Selection Board and Board of Studies of various public sector universities. Published more than 20 articles, 30 Papers presented in USA and 2 books. Currently she is a Dean, School of Arts at Institute for Art and Culture, Lahore.
